on repeat: Lykke Li - I'm Good, I'm Gone

breaking my back but it's all good.

you know when a complicated situation suddenly becomes clear and a line form a song that describes it perfectly gets stuck in your head? I call these song-messages because they are ususally directed at someone and I sometimes see people posting them and from time to time have to stop myself from doing it myself.  I won'tthis time but I'll have you know if I wanted to really convey my feelings I would go for NTM. and not any particular tune either, the name of the group would do.

shame about the circumstances but happy to be reminded about this great lady, dope tune and awesome video. on repeat. for both the right and the wrong reasons.

on repeat: Count Bass D - Sorrow

ye, ye. another one. I know. isn't it awesome when one of those rarest things happens that prove that god does exist? one in a million of things that prove otherwise? like, say, the fact that one's favouritest hip hop producer is also one of the most prolific ones? (I'm not gonna mention the cutest coz this post is meant to be about my love for the music and not my crush on the dude, but hey, is that you god?). if I am repeating myself here it is not because I love repetition. though I do. I do. it's because it is the truth. this fucker is a motherloving G. if I was to be a fly? on a wall?

If somehow you no know about count bass d then go fucking know already. and buy this. or something else. the choice is vast. all genius. next time ima jus copy paste innit

on repeat: Hello Skinny: Revolutions

Tom Skinner is, as far as I am concerned, not only one of London most talented drummers but also one of the most interesting musicians. Every project I have ever come across involving this quiet, self-effacing (my impression) guy has been awesome, different, an intense experience and usually a collaboration with other awesome different intense people I stalk. Put simply yet emphatically: I trust this guy. I've followed the hello skinny project from the moment it was born, loved the free smash+grab EP,  loved the hello skinny album, seen and loved them live several times. yep, I was sold the moment I saw the email telling me about this one (email newsletters rule), before I even listened to the dope first tune. d.o.p.e. on repeat.

If I were you I'd grab one of the 300 12"s like nowish.

on repeat: Wiley - Flying

so. wiley's back where I want him to be. big dada. cool. unlike him I remain unimpressed by the fact he is able to make it to the mainstream, it's kinda obvious for me that a G like him can lower himself to the level of the masses and make something shit enough to make the A-list. I tend to have more respect for those who won't than those who will but that's a knee-jerk reaction and a little dishonest when I think about it. being incapable of making anything that's lame but will sell, frankly, I wish I wasn't. either way, wiley just does whatever the fuck he feels like and since he's obviously not stopped feeling like putting out dope shit as well as the cringy stuff, it's cool. the ruff mercy video is cool too, I am a fan but I fear I may stop being a fan soon if he keeps churning out almost identical videos.

on repeat: Hollowed EP by Bambooman

this issue of human rights. welcome to Britain! (just kidding. you are not)

Pure and Simple Dave said, apparently, that the stupid Human Righs Act has been a bit of an issue, presumably somehow stopping him fom fucking everyone over once and for all and if it wasn't for the pesky Lib Dems it would have been washed down the drain already.

"There are some problems, like this issue of human rights" said Dave nonchalantly. he thinks "a Conservative-only government will be able to take more sensible steps."

so long human rights. more sensible steps are nigh.

what is it that he would have to do to provoke outrage? I guess, since outsourcing all public services to dodgy private corporations and telling people to "go home" was not enough, there is no such thing. we are doomed.
