we've been fans of Kel McKeown for a lil while here at the house of fun. went to see him perform live with the drummer Chris Walmsley last month at seebright arms - I'd already bought my ticket for the new album launch at Electrowerkz alongside another genius Shigeto in June but couldn't resist this intimate gig at a smaller venue with no  a low stage - and it proved to be an inspired decision: they blew our minds. live dance music at its best far as I'm concerned and I mean dance. Fourth: The Golden Eagle LP is out June 3rd.

it's more than alright it's awesome. you may well not be sleeping on this beautiful, hugely talented lady - if you are, wake up now - as she's been steadily getting attention and causing considerable stir all over planet Music and pretty much made it to the mainstream. I hope she stays there, that would count as hope for real.
a classically trained "geek" as she calls herself and self-aware yet humble genius, Laura Mvula has onorthodox written all over everything she does and is. this beautiful tune is yet another great statement to that effect.
