free bizarre tribe

sony records has shut the brilliant free Bizarre Tribe: A Quest to The Pharcyde project mastered by Amerigo Gazaway of Gummy Soul

because they can, using stupid law accompanied by poor research and ignorance. read the letter Gummy Soul have sent in response to sony records. tell sony records what you think they should hear here. here's what I think they should hear:

dear Sony Records,

Regarding your claim against Amerigo Gazaway's Bizarre Tribe:

Please abandon it. the bizarre tribe project is a rare gem: a work of a mastterful and creative genius, a respectful homage to both A Tribe Called Quest (whom you represent or should) and the Pharcyde and a joyful experience. It's shared freely between fans of both bands, amerigo and gummy soul. why upset a lot of hip hop fans? unless you hate hip hop and care only about sales figures which is a possibility but I hope not the case, please abandon your claims.

Regarding figures, if the fact that hip hop fans share this gem is affecting the sales of ATCQ then concentrating on better marketing rather than trying to prevent a amall independent label from sharing great work might prove a better long term strategy. please have some vision and more respect for artists.

Thank you

dorota

meanwhile.
